About Us
Our Story
Tapioca Toronto was started in 2013 by Rafael Mendes when given an opportunity to cook and sell at Dufferin Grove Farmers' Market. He began cooking Tapioca Crepes as a way to bring the food of his hometown in Brasil to Canada after noticing a lack of traditional Brasilian foods available in the market. With a passion for supporting other local, small-time food makers and producers, Tapioca Toronto sources as much as possible from fellow farmers' market vendors.
